Sweeney Todd Behind the Scenes!!

With Sweeney Todd- the first musical performed on the Opera House stage in well over a year- opening very soon, we are going to provide daily behind the scenes photos and progress to build interest and also provide people with a much clearer vision on everything that goes into the making of any theatrical production, but especially a musical!!   Our hope throughout the next couple weeks leading up to OPENING NIGHT is to provide a behind the scenes insight into all the elements of a theatrical production:  acting, singing, dancing, character work, costuming, make-up, lighting, sound, set design, painting, props and more.  There is SO much work- hours and hours- before a show even sets foot in front of an audience and we want to share that with all of you!!!  This will be a two week mini series on behind the scenes of Sweeney Todd!!!  Click on this link to see some aspects of set design.- https://docs.google.com/docume.... Our set design work takes place on most Saturdays and Sundays from about 9 am- 2 pm each time with student and parent volunteers working together!  Theater is a learning area where students TRULY obtain all the 21st Century Learning Skills in one complete project:  collaboration, creativity, communication, problem solving, flexibility, leadership, productivity, initiative and social skills!  All in one 2-3 month project together!!!
