Every year, at the end of the year honor roll assembly, a special award is presented to one student in the 5th, 6th and 7th grade. A plaque is given to the student and their name is added to the perpetual award that hangs in the Franklin Middle School office.
The Molly MacDonald Math Award was established in memory of Molly MacDonald in 2008, this award shall be presented annually to the 5th grade student who best reflects Molly’s dedication to the learning of mathematics. The recipient of this award must not only demonstrate outstanding academic achievement in mathematics, but also a love and passion for the learning of mathematics that is evident to their classmates and teachers.
