Sau 18 Title One teachers at the elementary and middle schools join forces with Franklin High School students to create a "Family Literacy" gift bags for children. The bags, filled with popcorn and books, were assembled by the high school volunteers and delivered by Santa himself at the Franklin Recreation Department.
Getting books into the hands of children has long been a goal to increase inquiry. The collaboration and cooperation illustrated by the students and staff at the Franklin district exemplifies the spirit of the season.
