Earlier this morning, at approximately 7:15am, PSS became aware of a situation in the apartment complex across the street from the school involving the police. As safety for the students is the first priority the students were brought inside from morning recess and the building was placed in secure campus mode. This means that students will not go outside for recess unless the school receives notification that the situation has been resolved. All students are currently in classrooms moving forward with a typical day.
Dear Franklin Families,
I am reaching out to let you know that we will be implementing a new technology protocol starting tomorrow in the school district. We have noticed students logging onto their computers late at night (after 11 PM) trying to access non-educational sites. As a deterrent, we will be shutting down computer access from 11PM to 6AM starting tomorrow. The hope is that this will assist families in limiting the amount of screen time for our students as well as reinforcing good sleep habits.

Today PSS enjoyed a performance from the Little Red Wagon team based at the University of New Hampshire! The performance focused on making healthy, safe choices and being a good friend. The students from UNH commented that they could feel the positive atmosphere and energy of PSS from the moment they walked through the door.

At PSS the "Lunch with a Hero" program is in full swing. Today we enjoyed a visit from members of the Franklin Fire Department. A big thank you to the firefighters for spending some of their day with us!
