Franklin Middle School

The Franklin School Board meeting will be held on Tuesday next week due to the Monday holiday. The meeting will be held at our new start time of 6:00 at our new location in the Franklin High School cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend or view the meeting on our youtube channel, "Franklin NH School Board." A link will be sent out with the agenda later this week.

Dear Franklin Families, I am reaching out to you today to report 3 positive student cases at Franklin Middle School. 2 of the students have not attended school since before vacation. The 3rd student is fully remote. Contact tracing was minimal and has been completed. Additionally, the contact tracing for the high school positive student case that I reported to you yesterday has been completed All 3 schools will be open for in-person learning tomorrow for Cohort A students. Friday, January 15, there will be NO school for students as it is a Teacher Inservice Day. Staff at all three schools will be participating in Professional Development all day. Also, Monday, January 18, all schools are CLOSED in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. There is NO school on Monday. All schools will resume with Group A hybrid on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Friday, January 15, is a Teacher Inservice Day for Franklin. There is NO school for students on Friday. Teachers will be immersed in professional development all day. Also, remember that Monday, Jan. 18 that school CLOSED in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. School will resume for Group A hybrid on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Dear Franklin Families, I have been informed today of a student testing positive at Franklin High School. We have initiated contact tracing. We are already fully remote tomorrow. The student has not attended school since before vacation so the contact tracing was minimal and has been completed. Good Afternoon Franklin Families, I hope you had a great holiday and a relaxing vacation. I wish you and your families a very Happy New Year and a great 2021! I wanted to let you know that we had a staff member at Franklin High School test positive over the weekend. There were no close contacts, as we were all out on vacation. We are all set to welcome back our Cohort A students, in-person tomorrow morning, at all 3 schools. A couple of reminders as we head into the new year. Please be sure to contact the schools if your child tests positive for COVID-19. The sooner we know, the sooner we can initiate contact tracing to keep everyone safe. Please continue to monitor your child/children for symptoms and keep them home to work remotely if they are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms. Additionally, please remember that if you traveled out of New England, our students need to quarantine for 7 days with a negative PCR test on the 7th day, or quarantine for a total of 10 days without a test before returning to school per NH Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.. I also wanted to let you know that on Wednesday, December 23rd, we will have a regular day of school with dismissal being at 1:30 for the middle school and high school students and 2:10 for the elementary school students. Franklin Middle School is again partnering with Mix 94.1 to collect non-perishable food items and cash this week until Wednesday, December 23 at 11 a.m. Mix 94.1's Fred Caruso will be stopping by Wednesday at 11 to pick up! "A" students can bring donations with them to school on Tuesday or Wednesday or you can drop them by the office Monday and Tuesday 7-3:30 or Wednesday 7-11!

Good Morning Franklin Families - Due to the poor road conditions and winter clean up, we are unable to deliver meals today using our buses. Our window will be open until noon at the Franklin Middle School for meal pick ups and weekend food bags for those that are able to make it. Thank you and have a good weekend. Good Evening Franklin Families: We will be fully remote in the district tomorrow due to snow clean up. We will be delivering meals at the bus stops starting at 9:00 A.M. The Middle School window will also be open for meal pickups and weekend food bags until 12:00 P.M. I hope the kids found some time to get outside and enjoy the fresh snow! Good Afternoon Franklin Families, With the expectation of significant snow tonight and into tomorrow, we will be remote tomorrow at all 3 schools in the district. The day will run like a fully remote Monday. There will be no meal deliveries or pickups tomorrow as well. Additionally, I wanted to let you know that we have positive cases today of a student at the high school and a staff member at Paul Smith School. The student has not attended in person since before Thanksgiving and the staff member has been out since last Tuesday because of our remote status. Good Evening Franklin Families: We will be delivering double meals and serving double meals tomorrow from the Franklin Middle School Window, in the event we have a snow day on Thursday December 17, 2020.
