Franklin Middle School

We have received full grocery bags from the Franklin Food Pantry this morning for distribution. The middle school window will be open until 12:00 today for distribution of the grocery bags and cold meals as well. We will also deliver the grocery bags tomorrow during our morning bus run. We are grateful to the food pantry for partnering with us for this food distribution.

Good Afternoon Franklin Families I am reaching out to tell you that we have completed our contact tracing and notifications for our middle school positive student case. I hope this news brings you some comfort and reduces some anxiety as we head into the weekend. Currently, we have no new cases in the school district to report. Good Afternoon Franklin Families. The middle school will remain fully remote for tomorrow as we continue our contact tracing and notifications from our positive student case yesterday. The elementary school will re-open for in-person learning tomorrow as we have completed the contract tracing and notifications from our positive staff member case yesterday. The high school will continue with in-person learning tomorrow as well. I will keep you updated as new information comes to me. I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we try to keep everybody safe and learning during these difficult times.

I have just been notified that a staff member at the elementary school has tested positive for Covid 19. The elementary school will be fully remote tomorrow so we can conduct contact tracing and notifications. I will update you tomorrow afternoon on the status of the elementary school for Friday.

Good afternoon Franklin Families. We have completed our contact tracing on our case at the middle school and have had to quarantine some members of our food service staff. Because of this, we will be temporarily closing our window service at the middle school and our service to students at the rec. department starting tomorrow. We will still be running our bus deliveries using the morning bus run and serving students in person at the 3 schools. I apologize for this disruption in service and expect to be back to fully operational after the Thanksgiving break.

We have just sent out a one question district survey regarding Thanksgiving travel and would appreciate your response. I also wanted to remind you that there is no school on Wednesday for Veteran’s Day. There will be double food delivery and pick up tomorrow and no meal delivery or pickup on Wednesday.

Due to low ticket sales and the safety of our performers, we are cancelling the scheduled Nov. 7 matinee for Midsummer Jersey. We still have a show on Friday and Saturday night (Nov. 6 and 7) at 7:30 pm and Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 pm.

A reminder that there is no school tomorrow for students. There will be no meal deliveries or pickups tomorrow as well. Meal deliveries and pickups will resume on Wednesday.
