Summer Art Club at Paul Smith has been busy creating this past week! We created our own 3D collage/mosaics inspired by Philadelphia's "Magic Garden" art installation. We also welcomed artist Jean Reed who taught us about basket weaving. We made our own weavings and we were able to practice weaving on a class basket! Finally, we studied the artist Dean Russo, and created tigers based on his multi-media masterpieces! More art fun to come this week!

Good evening Franklin Families, I am reaching out regarding the tragedy that impacted our community yesterday. We grieve for the family and are grateful that the student involved is out of the hospital and recovering. We are coordinating with the Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team at the state level to prepare for our return to school tomorrow morning. We will have counseling staff available to help students and staff at all 3 schools who need assistance. Please feel free to reach out to the schools if you anticipate any specific needs for your student/s. I am also available as always to answer questions and provide any needed resources or support. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent dlegallo@gm.sau18.org

Today Mrs. Gregg's third grade class celebrated "L" day with lemons and lemonade. We observed lemons to see how the look, feel, smell and taste. We also taste tested two different types of lemonade and students voted on their favorite. We then used the data to create a tally chart, bar graph, and answer questions about the data.

schedule
Dear Franklin Families: This is a reminder about the information for the new schedule for the upcoming school year. We are excited to implement this new schedule, and we want to ensure we've answered and addressed all questions students, parents and caretakers have. To better understand your perspectives on the new schedule, we have prepared a short video that explains the changes and benefits, and a document that provides more detailed information about the schedule structure.  We will also be holding an in-person public forum on May 4, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the high school cafeteria to answer questions.  If you want to provide feedback and questions ahead of the May 4 meeting, we will use your input to frame our session. Use this survey link to provide your thoughts.  Thank you for your support and involvement in our school community. Best regards, David Levesque, Principal Franklin High School 603-934-5441 x3422
