In the Honors Running Start- Introduction to Literature course, students were assigned a specific act and scene(s) from William Shakespeare's Macbeth to research in MLA style. They had to synthesize and integrate a variety of peer-reviewed sources. Then they later had to teach an engaging lesson about the section to the class. Their lesson had to overview essential quotes, close read literary devices, and dramatically perform the scenes. The students also had to cite evidence of Shakespeare's craft elements and discuss the literature and modern day importance of the assigned section. Within their lessons, one group created a dramatic detective video to playfully investigate the puzzling elements and crimes of the scenes. Another student group utilized the document camera to act out scenes related to character representations. One group presented a puppet show to stress the importance of the plot points, character drives, and historical plays. Other student groups created stop action videos and role-play scripts to engage us in their lessons. Below are images from the puppet show lesson created by Hannah Croteau and Lily Tusi!
