Briahna “Breezy” LaFlamme is a junior this year and playing our Bird Woman as well as in the Company, and has been doing theater for 9 years, including tech for 6 years. Her first show was Bye, Bye Birdie with Footlight. Breezy loves the second family that theater creates. Breezy has learned that through theater, she’s a lot louder than she thought and it’s helped her accept that and find her voice. Breezy loves working with other people and just doing the shows every time. She claims that literally everyone she has met has been a role model at one time or another. Breezy plans to become a military psychologist after high school. Breezy says to come to the show because it’s freaking amazing man!!!
Zoe Nagle is an 8th grader this year, in our Company, who has been performing since she was 8 years old. Her first show was as a teacup in Beauty and the Beast. Zoe loves being able to see people who share her passion for performing. Zoe says that theater has given her a sharpened mind which helps her remember things easily (choreography, Lyrics and lines) which will benefit her much later in life. It also gave her a greater understanding of music and how it is composed. Zoe’s favorite memory is Seussical when she had her first principal role. She distinctly remembers the adrenaline coursing through her veins as she stood before the audience opening night and said her first line. It was shocking, and a sort of feeling she knew she could never give up. Zoe plans to pursue a career in politics and law after school- or acting on Broadway after graduating from college. Zoe feels that the production of Sweeney Todd during the Covid-19 pandemic, is just proof that no matter how hard you try to push actors and actresses down, we will always prevail.
Kadance Laro is a freshman Company member who has been performing in theater for the last two years. Her first show was Mary Poppins. Kadance loves everything about performing in theater. She loves how close you get to everyone there. You spend hours with each other over multiple times per week so everyone gets really close. We are one big theater family! Kadance can’t describe how important it is to her. It’s hard to describe the feeling you get when you are onstage and have an audience clap and cheer for you. Kadance has learned through theater how outgoing she can be. She has also learned how to work with others and how to communicate better. Kadance loves waiting backstage to go on while singing and dance quietly behind the curtains to all the fun times fooling around pre-show downstairs. Her favorite moments are the first time you step onstage on opening night. You work so hard for that moment and you finally get to show off your efforts. Kadance has danced competitively for 7 years. Her future plans are to graduate high school and study child psychology in college. Kadance says the cast and crew are so thankful that they were able to come together this year to put on this show! They can’t wait for opening night!!

It is like a family and she has so much fun participating in it. Her favorite memory so far was Murder at the Goon Show. It was her first FHS Player’s show and she had a lot of fun. Jenny Wood is our youngest member! She is in 6th grade and has stepped up to learn the art of spotlighting for this production. Jenny has been performing and working on shows for the last 5 years but this is her first lighting experience. Jenny loves theater because it feels like family and everyone is so supportive. Jenny has learned to dance and has learned when to speak up and when not to. She has also learned how to work and deal with people that you both like and may not get along with. She says that theater is a place where you can forget your stress and troubles, just breathe and have a good time. She thanks Mrs. Finley for her patience and for handling so many things at once and keeping calm. Jenny’s most memorable moment thus far was getting lines in her first show. Someday, Jenny hopes to become a professional dog trainer.
Jessy Wood is a ninth grader in the Company, who has been performing for 5 years since she did The Little Mermaid. Jessy loves theater because she loves making new friends and participating in something that is completely dependent on team work. She feels that theater has taught her the skill of taking on hard work and having determination. To Jessy, theater is a place of friends and laughter, but also a place to be a different character. Her favorite feeling is just the fun that is being on stage. She is inspired by Mrs. Finley, just seeing how dedicated she is with theater. Jessy is considering culinary arts for her future career. She hopes people come see Sweeney Todd because the FHS Players worked hard to put it together!
Megan Sorette has been performing all four years of high school. She is playing The Beggar Woman. Her first show was the one act for the NHETG Festival, Between the Lines. Megan loves the familial aspect you get from theater. She gets to be on stage, acting, singing and dancing around with 100% more confidence that the old her. She feels like a different person- a more comfortable, confident person. Megan says she has learned that she is pretty creative, especially when she is developing a character. She also feels that theater has taught her how to communicate well, how to self advocate and time-management. Theater is a family- a big community to be yourself in and let your true talents shine. Theater makes her feel free and confident to be herself. She feels blessed to be in such a loving and supportive group and is thankful for it. Megan’s favorite memory so far was when Riley’s mic was on during Midsummer Jersey and all that you could hear through the speakers was, “So what’re you doing after this? Just wondering.”! Megan plans to attend UNH in the fall to study Cybersecurity.
