The Franklin Falls Academy Adult Diploma Program offers credit bearing classes and alternative credit avenues for students, age 16+. The program offers opportunities for high school students and community members to earn a high school diploma, credit recovery, improve academic skills, learn new skills, complete pre-requisite for a training program, and pursue an academic subject required for job advancement and/or post-secondary enrollment. The student can be dual enrolled in a School District, Public Charter School, Homeschooled, or an EFA Education Freedom Account (EFA). Students 18+ do not have to be enrolled in high school. Participation is open to residents of Franklin and surrounding communities.
Format of classes: Small group, online and in-person classes.
Days/Times/Location of classes: Classes are offered Monday - Thursday, 3:30-6:30PM at Franklin High School.
Is there a cost? Classes are free for dual enrolled high school students. A cost may be required for participants that are 18+ yrs old and not enrolled with a school district.
Enrollment/Registration: Enrollment for Online Edmentum classes are rotating, you can enroll at any time. In-person classes will follow a semester I and semester II schedule.
Adult Diploma Program - Franklin Falls Academy Graduation Requirements - 20 Credits including:
4 English credits
3 Social Studies credits
3 Math credits
2 Science credits
.5 Computer Literacy credit
7.50 Elective credits (Must include Career Exploration)
Pass NH Citizenship Exam and Complete FAFSA Form
How to Enroll: You must be at least 16 years old. You are required to complete an intake application process by meeting with the program coordinator. Prior to your appointment: Please contact your last high school attended and request that your current transcript be mailed, emailed or faxed to the Franklin program coordinator. Your transcript will be reviewed to determine what course credits you need to earn your high school diploma. The program coordinator will work with you to create a graduation plan that best fits your educational goals and career interests.
What classes are being offered: Online Edmentum Classes. Check out the Edmentum courses: https://www.edmentum.com/course-catalog These online classes are offered with adult support on Monday - Thursday, 3:30-6:30PM at Franklin High School.
High School Equivalency Classes: High School Equivalency (HiSET) prep classes ARE NOT offered at the Franklin Adult Education Program. For HS Equivalency prep classes you can go to the NH Adult Education website to find a list of all Adult Education Program locations closes to you that offer high school equivalency (HiSet, GED) classes - https://www.nhadulted.org/locations/.
