School Board Goals

In August 2024, the school board held a retreat and adopted three goals related to instructional programming, staff and personnel relations and community relations. These board goals are separate from the strategic plan which guides the work of educators in Franklin. However, they naturally aligned with the district goals which value students, educators and community.

This is the first time in recent memory that the school board has adopted goals and action steps for themselves.

Three columns highlighting three goals and two strategies for each goal. The first goal is Instructional Programming, The second goal is Staff and Faulty Relations,. The third goal is Community relations.

Goal #1 Ensure board members have a good understanding of what the instructional programs look like at each school.

Goal #2 Ensure staff and personnel know they are valued by the School Board as partners in education.

Goal #3 Foster a positive relationship between the School Board and the Community.

Strategic Plan

strategic plan

For the past five years, Franklin School District has improved through the use of a strategic planning process. Now that our initial plan has sunset, we've recommitted to our values and mission and developed new goals and action steps that will serve as a guide for the next three years.

We believe strategic planning is a dynamic and fluid process where strategies and action steps are added, amended or even abandoned if they are not helping us meet our goals.

We hope you will follow along on our Live Updates Tracker that will be updated every three months at the district's Innovation and Improvement (I2) committee meetings. Feedback and input is always welcome as we work collaboratively to Move Franklin Forward!
