Pumpkins carved for Pumpkin Festival

Thanks to the pumpkin donations from the Franklin PTSO, the sixth graders were able to carve pumpkins for the Laconia Pumpkin Festival. Students worked together to carve the pumpkins in the FMS Cafeteria. Students also cleaned the pumpkin seeds so the kitchen staff could roast the seeds the following day for a fun snack enjoyed by the sixth graders.

A special thanks goes out to the PTSO as well as volunteers Angela Livingstone, Amy Winters and William Pomeroy who helped with cutting the tops of the pumpkins and setting the tables. Mr. Pomeroy also came back the following day to photograph the event while Mrs. Livingstone helped with the event and the clean-up! Thank you also to Mrs. Vandel for the use of her pumpkin stencil and Mr. Neil for transporting the pumpkins to Laconia. It takes a village to make things happen and we are so grateful for all of the support we have gotten this year!students carving pumpkinsstudents carving pumpkinsstudents carving pumpkinsstudents carving pumpkinsstudents carving pumpkinsstudents carving pumpkinsstudents carving pumpkins
