Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
I have been notified of 1 case in the past 4 days, a middle school student. I am hopeful that this downward trend in cases will continue so we can exit our outbreak status at the schools and consider revising our current masking protocols soon.
I will keep you updated.

Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
I am reaching out to give you an update on the situation with the heat at the middle school. We have the heating system up and running everywhere in the building except for the gymnasium. We have significant water in the gym from a burst coil and will need a couple of days to repair the heat in the gym.
We will be back in school tomorrow but will be unable to use the gymnasium until these repairs are completed. We are working as quickly as possible to make this happen.
Additionally, I have been notified of 6 Covid cases over the weekend and today. 3 high school students, 2 middle school students and 1 elementary student tested positive. Close contact notifications are being made.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,

The first Franklin Middle School Red Cross Blood Drive went very well. We saw 28 donors altogether, with 9 first-time donors! Overall, we collected 32 units, exceeding our goal of 28 units. Franklin should be really proud that we had 7 power red donations in just a 4-hour timeframe- the first power red donation being by Mr. D! Mr. Trafton and Mr. Cole also joined in! It was so popular that we are planning on a repeat on May 11! More Pics https://photos.app.goo.gl/iNPYJAnHy4BPrbUw7
Dear Franklin Families,
I have been notified that 3 elementary students and 3 middle school students tested positive for Covid-19. Close contact notifications are being made.
I also wanted to notify you that starting tomorrow we will no longer be conducting temperature checks on students entering the buildings. This mitigation strategy will be removed from our reopening plan moving forward. I ask that you continue to monitor your children for symptoms each morning and keep them home if they are sick.
I also wanted to clarify that when students test positive for Covid, they do not need to retest on day 5 in order to return to school, they just need to have been fever free for at least 24 hours and have symptoms subsiding. Students must wear a well fitting mask from day 6-10 when they return to school.
Please feel free to reach out to me or our school nurses if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo
