Dear Franklin Families,
I have been notified of 4 cases at the middle school, 1 staff member and 3 students (1 Pemi-Middle, 1 Pemi Prep, 1 Winni Middle).
DHHS has informed us that they have identified 2 separate clusters (3 cases each) at the middle school which labels the school as in outbreak status. They conveyed that it sounds "scary" but it just means we have to ramp up on our masking in school. We will be asking all staff and students to mask up when 6ft. distancing cannot be maintained except for when consuming food and drink. This means that masks will be worn indoors at all times and outdoor mask breaks will be provided for students. I expect that this will continue until the holiday break.
Please continue to monitor your child/children for symptoms and keep them home if they are sick. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo

Dear Franklin Families,
I have been notified that 1 staff member and 2 students at the middle school (Winni-Prep wing) have tested positive today for Covid 19. Close contact notifications are being made.
Additionally, I have been informed by DHHS of a cluster at the high school from previous cases from last week and the week prior. The good news is that there have been no reported new cases the last 5 days at the high school and students from the cluster have started returning back to school. Because of this, we will continue with our 3ft. masking protocol at the high school.
Thank you for your support in helping to keep our students and staff safe and healthy.
Sincerely,

Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
I have been notified of 7 positive cases at Paul Smith School, over the weekend and today. Due to this we are masking up all students and staff when 3 foot distancing cannot be maintained. This means that when students are seated at their desks, they may remove their masks.
Impacted classrooms will mask up when 6 foot distancing cannot be maintained.
The following classrooms will implement 6 foot masking:
Ms. Greene, Miss Nixon, Ms. MacDonald, Ms. Preuss and Mrs. Fleury.
We anticipate masking to continue for at least 14 days.
We appreciate your cooperation and support.
Sincerely,

Also a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow on November 17. This is an inservice day for staff.
Congratulations to the members of the Class of 2022 who took part in our “I Applied Day” today! We had 20 students apply to colleges electronically through the “I Am College Bound” program run by the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation.
