Dear Franklin Families, I have been notified that 2 elementary students, 3 middle school students and 1 high school student tested positive for Covid-19. 1 elementary student and 2 middle school students were in school during the infective period so close contact notifications are being made. The other 3 students (1 elementary, 1 middle, 1 high school) were not in school during the infective period so there were no school close contacts. Please continue to screen your children for symptoms each morning and keep them home if they are sick. I will continue to keep you updated. The student at the elementary school was not in during the infective period so there were no close school contacts. Close contact notifications for the middle school case are being made. I wanted you to know that the SAU employee testing positive today is me. I tested positive at home this morning. I am doing well and experiencing only minor symptoms at this time. We have received new recommendations from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regarding Covid Isolation and Quarantine Timelines. Good afternoon Franklin Families, The New Hampshire Department of Education forwarded a memo from the New Hampshire Information & Analysis Center (NHIAC) to school administrators. The memo indicated that there has been "online messaging" about possible school threats. Law enforcement officials have indicated that these are not credible threats. As always, I ask students and families to notify the administration if you hear of any threats to our schools.
